Enrichment Wednesdays

Our Learning Experiences & Enrichment Continue for the 2025–2026 Learning Season This September!

Now entering our fourth year of offering engaging learning experiences and enrichment, we are excited to welcome both returning and new learners into another year of hands-on discovery and joyful exploration.

At ITAV, your learners will dive into a wide range of subjects through monthly themed experiences designed to plant seeds of knowledge that will grow over time. Our goal is to introduce concepts they may revisit later in their academic journey—while sparking curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning right now.

We believe in the power of mixed-age learning environments, which foster organic mentoring, deeper connections, and real-world collaboration. In fact, we embrace the philosophy that artificially grouping children solely by age has limited the natural evolution of learning and social growth. At the same time, we understand and honor the importance of creating developmentally and size-appropriate environments for each learner.

Taking all of this into account, we are excited to announce that this year we will again offer two groups for both our Learning Experiences and Enrichment: Primary and Secondary. We’ve also expanded our teaching staff to meet the needs of our growing community.

About Our Learning Levels:
Primary Learners
Designed for children who are early in their structured learning journey, often aged 5–7. This may be their first experience learning away from a parent. These learners are just beginning to explore reading, writing, and cooperative group activities.

Secondary Learners
Best suited for children aged 8–10/11 who are comfortable working in structured learning environments away from their parents and are actively developing or confident in their reading and writing skills.
Both groups will explore the same weekly themes, with experiences tailored to their developmental stage. Each group will have its own dedicated teacher and space for lessons, but will come together during snack, lunch, and free play to nurture friendships and build community across ages.

Weekly Enrichment Rotation
Our enrichment offerings rotate each week. When our Primary learners are participating in Art, Yoga & Meditation, our Secondary learners will be attending Let’s Get Musical—and vice versa. This alternating schedule allows both groups to benefit from all enrichment areas over the course of the month.

Program Options & Pricing
As with last year, families can choose between:
  • Half-day (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM) — $20
  • Full-day (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) — $40
Includes lunchtime and downtime between sessions: outdoor play, board games, or free choice activities.
A 15% sibling discount is available.
You’re welcome to commit for the full year to reserve your learner’s spot, or join us on a drop-in basis week-to-week or month-to-month. Please note: We filled up every week last year, so we recommend signing up early if you're interested.

Ms. Emma
Music Educator | Vocalist | Homeschool Partner & Learning Guide

Mr. Sebastian
Founder of Spark | Artist | Mindfulness & Creative Learning Guide

Ms. Emma is a homesteading, homeschooling mama of two and she brings that same heart, creativity, and intentionality into everything she does at It Takes A Village.

A passionate music educator with over a decade of experience teaching in both New Jersey and Maryland, Ms. Emma holds a Bachelor of Music from Moravian University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Centenary University. Her primary instrument is voice, and her beautiful singing voice is one of the many things learners instantly connect with.

At ITAV, Ms. Emma is so much more than a “music teacher.” She creates hands-on, meaningful experiences where music becomes a doorway into creativity, confidence, collaboration, and joyful self-expression. Her lessons often include projects, movement, storytelling, and interactive learning; the kind that meets children where they are and invites them to participate fully.

As a homeschooling parent herself, Ms. Emma deeply understands the rhythm of homeschool life and the hopes families carry for their children. She brings that understanding into her work at ITAV, partnering with families and supporting learners in a way that feels personal, encouraging, and deeply aligned with the heart of the Village.

Ms. Emma’s warmth, passion, and hands-on approach make her an irreplaceable part of ITAV, a true learning guide, creative partner, and steady presence in our community.
Sebastian’s journey has been shaped by movement, culture, and curiosity. He studied abroad in Berlin and São Paulo, lived and worked in San Francisco and New York City, and served as a Creative Director for a startup before making a life-changing decision: leaving corporate America behind to pursue what had always been his first love — art.
That leap became a defining chapter. Sebastian committed to creating art every day for a year, a project called Sketch 365, which culminated in a backyard-style art show in his small Upper West Side apartment with his wife — officially launching his career as an artist. In 2015, while searching for what was next, a dear friend suggested he teach art to children. That single suggestion sparked something powerful… and Spark was born.
While Spark began with art, it quickly evolved into something much bigger: a program that now blends art, creativity, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and nature-based experiences. As a South Indian man, Sebastian considers it a deep honor to bring elements of Indian tradition — especially yoga and mindfulness — into the lives of children here in the United States in a way that is grounded, accessible, and joyful.
His work has become a true service — and it’s clear to anyone who meets him that he genuinely speaks the language of children: patience, laughter, imagination, and presence.
Sebastian’s teaching is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to be welcomed exactly as they are. Over more than a decade of working with children, he has helped countless learners feel seen, confident, and free to express themselves — often in ways they’ve never experienced before.
At ITAV, Mr. Sebastian brings something rare: a blend of artistry, reverence, play, and deep respect for childhood. His work is not simply enrichment — it is connection, self-discovery, and belonging. He considers it the greatest honor to work with children and families, and he is grateful every day to be doing the work he feels he was meant to do
